I cant download music or use instand messaging on my laptop
I have an acer laptop and wireless internet. i can sign into msn and go on websites, but i cant send messages on msn, i cant download music and i cant use instand messaging on any websites. does anyone have any ideas? thanks

It could be do to an add-on. You can reset IE setting on the advanced tab of internet properties found in the control panel. If that doesn't do it you can disable add-ons one by one in the manage add-ons section found underneath the tools menu in IE.
If you have more than one anti-virus on you computer all sorts of unexpected things can happen.
If you know that you have changed the anti-virus in the past than download and run the clean up tool for any previous anti-virus programs.

Are you downloading software for linux. I know that there is a limewire for linux and an msn for linux. When you save your files also, you need to choose whrere you want them to go. It's a little confusing at first because linux's filesystem is a little different than windows. If you want to save files then you need to find /home/"your linux username"/desktop. "Your linux username" is the username you use to sign in with when you first log into linux.
