Question about Pioneer DEH-1000 CD Changer

2 Answers

I can't figure out how to put my pioneer deh 10 in auxiliary mode. I bought one of those audio cables to plug in the red and white jacks in the back, and connect my mp3 player, and I can't figure out how to swap to aux mode.

Nope, I tried this and the only thing I can change is the time, the function button doesn't do anything else if you press it again.

Sorry, but I don't think you can use the rca's for an aux-in. I bought a deh-10 new and there is nothing in the owners manual that even mentions useing the rca's for an aux-in.
Used it long enough to opperate it in the dark and nothing in the setup menues for changing those rca's from outs to ins.

I beleive the answer is below. We just got an older car with this unit and I was hunting for tips on setting clock and if it would accept dual RCA aux-in for iPod. Let me know if this works, good luck:

Turn the radio off by holding the source button. Then press the function key for two sec. Now you can set the clock with the cursor keys. Press function to go to other options like faceplate alarm, aux in on/off, cd changer on/off etc. Press the source button again to turn the radio back on.

My Pioneer radio the DEH-2460R has on the back the white and the red cabel plug in, but i can't seem to activate the aux function is this possible with this type of radio?

That's not an auxiliary input, it's an output. Pioneer units that have an auxiliary input use a 3.5mm mini jack, not RCA jacks. Your model does not have an auxiliary input, or any way to add one..

How do I use the auxiliary input option on my Pioneer DEH-P59000IB? It has no auxiliary input to plug in a wire.

After looking up your unit's info, I found that it does indeed have an aux input, but it's on the rear of the unit. Get yourself a 3.5mm aux cable (normal aux cable), pull the unit from the dash (being careful not to disconnect any wires), plug one end into the aux jack and feed the other end thru the area where the unit sits in the dash and out one side or the other of the center area of the dash (by the footwells). Put the head unit back in place and GENTLY pull the aux cable enough to get out the last bit of slack, but not so hard that you pull it out of the back of the head unit. You can tuck the extra slack up under the console where it meets the carpet. If you wanted to get real fancy, you could drill a slot in the storage area of the console large enough for the cable to fit but small enough that the end won't slip through so you can keep it all out of sight and just plug your phone or MP3 player in and hide it in the console. Then just switch the source on the unit to aux and enjoy!

Aux sound problem

It sounds like you've connected to the front or rear audio RCA output.

Pioneer CD players generally don't have a direct auxiliary input like that - what you'll have to do is get a CD-RB10 adapter(it plugs into the CD changer connector on the back, and your cable would plug into that).

How do you connect a pioneer d2 navigation system to a 2006 ford expedition entertainment system

You need to identify the four wires that carry the DVD audio in the factory plug, and re-wire them to RCA plugs that can be used with the Auxiliary input RCA jacks on your Pioneer unit. The four wires should be: Left (+) light green Left (-) white Right (+) red Right (-) black The easiest way is to purchase some inexpensive RCA cables (or better yet, speaker wire with RCA ends). Cut the cables and wire the center pin conductor wires to the (+) audio wires in the stock plugs, and connect the outer shield conductors to the (-) wires. Then connect the RCA plugs to your head unit's auxiliary input jacks.
