None of the buttons on the TV will work...can't turn TV off
The kids were playing a DVD. When I came to turn it off, the remote would not do anything and neither would ANY of the buttons on the front of the TV. Volume, channel, power...nothing will work. Had to unplug it to turn it off. When I plug it back in, The DVD starts back up and I can't stop it, can't adjust the volume, can't switch over the TV stations...the remote will not do anything either. (Yes, I put in new batteries...still nothing).

Kindly check first if the batteries of your TV remote ( medium to change input ) are fresh. After that please check again the button on your TV remote for INPUT, SOURCE, or TV/VIDEO and it should give you input lists.
So the power button is the only one that functions? Double check your main board, IR sensor, and key controller connections. You should not need a code at all. The only programming you should have to do is to do a scan for antenna channels you may use as well as setting up any of your personal preferences. Did you order the exact part # as the old one?
I have here a procedure that works well on Sylvania tv`s , since both brands/models are made by FUNAI , it may work on yours as well.
With the tv`s original remote control and in one sequence, press the arrow left then right and power.
As i said this works with sylvania but will it work on yours ????
Nothing to loose by trying i guess :)
I`d like some feedback on this if it does.
By the way this problem is known to occur after a power blackout or if the power cord or power bar is turned off while the set is playing.
I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.
I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?
