Question about Apple iPhone 3G
I have a problem with my 16 gig 3g with a 2.2.1 version white iphone it won't show up as an icon on my computer. i uninstalled the drivers in my device manager & plugged it back in, also used different cables in other usb ports it's still not working. i even uninstalled itunes & reinstalled it back also. in the itunes it appears to be syncing but have not sync anything as yet. i have also put someone elses iphone & it showed up right away. can anyone give me a soloution to this problem. thanks
If you have a password lock on your phone and it is turned on then the computer won't recognise the phone. It will only show in My Computer if this is turned off.

If you've explored all software options and the problems doesn't resolve, it's an issue with the logic board or dock connector, so ultimately if you want to resolve it, one of these components needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty apple will likely give you a new one. If you're out of warranty you can attempt a self-repair if you're comfortable with opening devices like that, there are iPhone Repair guides that show you how. Before you should consider if it's big enough of an issue to take the risk of breaking things further or if you can deal without syncing the iphone.

Is it fully charged sometimes the phone can take up to 30 mins to shown up in itunes does it charge via a wall charger if not then it could be a bad hardware fault

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
