I have a Reddy Heater 35,000 BTU kerosene heater. I used it 2 days ago and it worked fine. Now it will not fire up and the reset button keeps tripping. I bought it at a garage sale so I don't have the intructions. Can I adjust the screws in the back to make it fire up? If possible, how can I accomplish this procedure?

Reddy Heater 35,000 btu kerosene or oil fuel

You need to keep it as a switch as it would stay on all the time . So a replacement is your best bet or see if you can pick up old one free and use the parts off it .

Problem: Will not spray fuel through nozze. Lines are not clogged. Have cheecked spark plug. It is firing. Special note: It is Series 35,000 Reddy Heater.

You can try adjusting the pump pressures, but it does sound more like the pump went out on you. Have you checked to see that the shaft to the pump is turning? I am not sure how that mates up with the motor be it a set screw, or coupling, but would check it over the pumps are generally not an issue.

I have a 55,000 BTU Kerosene heater that will not fire up. The fan, ignitor are all working. What could cause this?

The fuel is drawn from the tank by vacuum. If there is any kind of dirt in the fuel or tank, it will clog up that tube and not fire up. Also there is a foam filter at the rear that could be dirty. There is also a reset button by the filter that needs to be reset every time it runs out of fuel.

Heater, 35,000 BTU Reddy Heater won't fire up.

there is only one adjuster screw in the back of the unit.most likely your problem is in the rotor.you need to take the back plate off then you should see 6 more screws on the metal plate.remove them to get to rotor.the air vains should drop to the bottem without any help.usualy they pick up moisture for the air from sitting.pull the out and soak them in lacquare thinner for a few minutes then wipe them off with a paper towel.install them one at a time and check to see if they drop or not,if they don't i use a piece of 280 grit sand paper and carefully sand the marks off them.don't get to carried away though.sand a little then try them.once you get them to drop by them self reinstall the cover and try to ignite the unit again.
