How do I clear the screen?

Do not have the manual, so I can solve this myself. When I open the camera lots of numbers and copy comes on the screen and does not go off. What do I do to clear the screen please?

I believe if you press the "display" button on the back, it should turn the data overlay off. You might need to press it more than once to get to a happy place.

Blurred image after switching on camera (takes blurred pictures ). Only cure is to slide the sound/film/camera button up and down until I see a clear image in the viewfinder screen. Often unsuccessful...

The four main causes of blurry photos are:
  1. Out Of Focus
  2. The subject moves while the shutter is open
  3. The camera moves while the shutter is open
  4. Depth Of Field is too shallow
About the battery catch, visit some technicia shop to solve it.

How to clear overscreen (icons, numbers etc) from viewing screen

Hi,
Depending on the camera model, usually depressing and/or holding a button down turns on or off a function and may clear the function off the viewing screen. On a lot of cameras this is on the menu button. Sometimes it is also individually done but each function for instance the flash function can be turned on, or forced turned off by the button, and also the display will ad or remove this from the screen. There may also be a DISPLAY button that turns off these functions in the view screen. Every camera is a bit different. If you have the manual, you can always refer to it. If not also check the manufacturer's website for a copy or customer support. Good Luck.

Canon a20

I spent a lot of time and effort researching the internet trying to find the software and driver for my daughters Canon PowerShot A20 camera! I AM NOT an expert on the computer, but I am also not a novice! I did not appreciate being put on hold for an extended length of time while AvioriX was trying to interface me with evidenly a number of other people who also had problems. YES, I solved the problem myself, and I no longer need help!

$10 and a wait of a week will get you a pucca copy of the manual from http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_manuals.asp?id=657 This did surprise me a little, as manuals for Olympus models available over here (and yours appears not to be) are downloadable for free. You might try downloading a few manuals from http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/#d - just to see if any of them are close enough to help you out. A.
