It could be a low refrigerant cut-out (switch), grounded or shorted motor windings, open internal winding overload protector (check at the common winding), a broken conductor, or no power at condensing unit from blown fuses or open/tripped breaker.
Hi, the control boards go wacky in them and then the things get a mind of their own with no control over them whatsoever. You can buy control boards for some of them, but they are often half or more the price of a new one...
Hello,Make sure the flame sensor is clean near the burners, The flame sensor is a metal rod that is on the opposite side of the ignitor. To clean the flame sensor you will need some steel wool, turn off power to the furnace and remove the flame sensor and clean it with the steel wool. After cleaning reinstall it and turn power back on to furnace.
Please check the auto programmed ON/OFF on your remote commander. May be the auto programming is running that run your air conditioner all time without stop. Check also your temperature setting.
To hard reset your remote , remove the battery and wait for 1 hour and replace the battery. If your remote has reset button just go has it reset.
You did not say what the problem was diagnosed as but I suspect that your service technician is going to change the compressor and dryer. This unit even only 7 years old is a R22 unit which cannot be sold anymore. It is also only 10 SEER where new models are a minimum of 13 SEER (produces 13 Btu's per kilowatt). If you installed a new unit the coil in the duct will need to be replaced along with the outside condenser. If the cost of a new one is $1000 or less over the cost of repair, I would go with a new system.
Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.
if under year old you get anther if not make sure it is clean front filter and the back coil. turn it on with out the remote. is blowing the plug breaker.the plug breaker might be bad, see if still lit?
