Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player
I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition, version 2002, Service Pack 3 and Window Media Player 11. I have a Creative Zen microphoto and a Sansa clip, but can't get either one to install. When I plug them in the hardware installation wizard starts up, but quits with an error stating 'the specified service does not exist as an installed service'.
The best method of installation is to run the installation CD first, and THEN plug the mp3 player into the computer.
If that fails, I would try downloading the MTP Porting Kit from Microsoft's website - I wouldn't suggest this, except that both of your player's are doing the same thing.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
