Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
I have a 32" aquos sharp tv and my 3 year old daughter took a sharp object and scratched the screen with it. now its only scratches their not gouges. what can i do about this matter. can it be fixed without buying a new tv? is it costly to replace screen or cheaper to buy a new tv?
Your third option is to repair the scratches ! If you search you can find products sold to do just that.
One example is http://www.janvil.com/plastic_polish.htm?gclid=CO_f08iL75gCFQ0gQgodpEm00g
What ever product you try, you should try it on a small inconspicuous place first to see if it works. The idea is to get the scratches to be invisible with the tv on so test it that way. Search for more products - this was only one I found. I am not affiliated with that company.

Honestly brother, there is not anything you can do about this. You have one of two options, #1 buy a new tv, or #2 deal with the scratches. If you call sharp, they will send you right out the door because their warranties do not cover physical damages in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Avoid yourself the embararssment and take one of those options. Take it from a person who knows. good luck 2 u
