Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Went from windows XP Media Edition to Windows professional SP3 also replaced hard drive Its installed Both. Problem How do I INstall the drivers into the new op system the old hard drive no good some drivers were missing and out of date and how about the motherboard drivers from were Bought computer referbished no software gateway has no recovery cd going back to 2005 besides recovery cd from gateway wont work right Because I changed the operating system to Xp professional
You can get the correct drivers from the Gateway website. Use another computer and download all the Windows XP files for that model number from the website. You need your model number of your pc. Get the files for your motherboard, video, sound card, network card, etc. save them to a usb key or a burn them to a cd. Take the usb key/cd to the other system and load the drivers.
This will get your system back up and running in now time.
I hope this helps you.
