What u have to do is take the cover off the bottom giving u access to the motor and all the pipes drain all the pipes and the salt store container blow out the drain pipe n thats it simple as basically f4 is when the pipes are water locked normally due to power failure half way through a cycle

F4 problems, solved by *thoroughly* cleaning and de-greasing the filter frame, basket and sensor - we also quickly realized that there was a low threshold for oils/greases/debris of any kind, so we rinse and load.

This week's F4 was solved after a good hour of removing outflow tube (clean), cleaning and inspecting all interior parts. Another forum post indicated pump/impeller blockage may also cause F4, so I took some light gauge wire, taped the end so as not to scratch or snag, and jammed it into the outflow opening in the well, poking vigorously at the impeller blades. 10 seconds later I was able to run a complete cycle of *already clean* dishes without problem. It ain't scientific, but I can get on with my day!

Why won't my dishwasher start?

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

Based off the information you have provided "CL" stands for close door. If you continue to experience an issue with the "CL" error code I would recommend having a professional come out to your home and diagnose your appliance. "CL" could be a problem within your door switch or main control board. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Hello Darlene, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

The "ER" code that keeps appearing on your Electrolux dishwasher stands for a Membrane Switch Failure. Normally that means that your control board has detected a stuck key or key pressed for more than a minute. That could possibly be an issue with your keypad or main control board. I would recommend having a technician come out to your home to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Dishwasher keeps coming on and then turing off during all cycles, what could it be

I am slightly unclear about the problem.

What do you mean by coming on and turning off during all cycles.

Does the dishwasher turn itself on even when it is turned off?

If coming on means the drain pump starts as soon as you select a program cycle then most likely the flood switch is activated which causes the pump to start to make sure there is no water left inside the dishwasher. You will have to find the location of the flood switch and dry it out. make sure power is turned off when you are working on the dishwasher components.

If this solves the problem there you also need to find out what is the source of the water leak.

Dishwasher not stopping

If it keeps going around then it is probably the programer timer motor unit. You will need to call Miele.
