Question about HP Officejet 4110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP officejet 4100 series all-in-one Scanner not working

I have a MacBook Pro.  I am able to print and fax but the scanner registers a message that the "Scanning is beginning" but when i look at my Mac / Scanner info, it says I have selected a device that does not support Scanning.
My HP officejet 4100 driver version is 4.0.3

Here is a video from HP explaining the process. IF you followed this procedure and are getting errors, then you may have bigger issues. I am assuming you are using genuine HP ink, not remanufactured or refilled cartridges.

How to print labels


Use Avery Label sheet.
Set correct paper size on Word and the Operating system.
Use label from Sheet feed tray only.

According to the printer specifications for the Officejet 8600 Pro Plus, the following label sheet sizes are supported;

We have an HP Officejet Pro L7580, we never use the scanner or fax. Only used for making copies. When I attempt to make a copy, there is an alert sound, then it says scanner failure on both the computer...


u should be good even if ur not using the scanner or fax. in the printer settings check if ur actually mean printing it from the computer or scanning a document and printing it out through it. this needs to cleared out. btw check if ur using the correct driver. i prefer not to use the one that is automatically installed in windows. USE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH IT OR DOWNLOAD FROM HP.

Not printing


When printing from the microsoft word document, make sure the printer selected is right. By that, i mean the default printer selected in the printers icon under the control panel should be HP OfficeJet 6100 series and not HP OfficeJet 6100 fax.
So the reason why this message comes up " scanner failure ". is you are either selecting a wrong printer when printing from microsoft word document or probably the printer port is not selected right.

To check the printer port.
Click on start-->control panel-->printer & faxes-->right click on HP OfficeJet 6100 series--> select properties-->Select the top tab called ports-->
Check the ports selected here.
If you have a USB connected printer it should be your printer model with USB settings.
If you have a wireless connected printer it should be your printer model with wireless settings like IP address.

I am using windows xp and I am having problems scanning using HP officejet L7590. I can print with no problems

this is an user manual ..complete edition ...save it ...and read it well .cause if you can print it means that isnt a driver problem ...but just your skils with it ...I hope this will in-light ya ...

HP 7590 office jet pro scanner does not communicate


Hello,

The scanner function is not available when you are connected wireless, you must be connected via USB to your PC for the scanner to function correctly.
