Pull off the two speaker grills. They will seem like they are going to break but they'll snap out. You'll then see the 8 screws that hold the plastic lower facing in place. (4 on each side) Once you remove the facing, you can see the 4-6 screws that attach the screen assembly at the bottom of the screen. Once you've removed them, you simply place a hand along the left anf right edge of the screen assembly and pull up. This will pull the screen assembly off the plastice hooks inside the cabinet that hold the screen assy. in place. You can now clean the mirror and lens assys. You can use windex on the mirror but many projection TVs have plastic lenses so use a prepared solution from a video store or make your own with luke warm water and a couple drops of dish washing liquid. Don't get the lens too wet, so that water drips onto other parts of the TV.

It has a spider web inside the screen and I need to know how to clean it because it is directly in the center of the screen

The best way to get at it is through removal of the front screen. Start by removing the front speaker grill-should just pull off (snap fitted). Then remove the front control panel (4screws). Next remove 4 screws from bottom of front of screen- the screen should ten just pull off -also snap fit- Make sure the set is unplugged before you begin- Once the screen is off you can also clean the lenses and the mirror (if glass) use a soft damp cloth.

Large dust circle on a Toshiba 50H95 RPTV

No the front panel will only give you access to the CRT circuits. Remove the back panel. UNPLUG your set. You should be able to reach inside (its a stretch for sure) to clean the screen, clean the tubes and if you reach up behind you can actually clean the mirror. This will greatly improve your picture. Do not use windex just a damp soft cloth then dry with a soft cloth. The mirror cleaning is most important to get a nice bright picture. Over the years the mirror tends to get dull. Hope this helps.

How do I remove the front panel?

Yes, I have seen this many times. Usually the best thing to do is remove the upper back cover and remove the webs with a clean, dry cloth, but be careful because the mirror is attached to the inside of the upper back cover.

Front panel removal instructions for

You have to remove the back bottom skirt from television in order to get to the screws for the front bottom panel. When the front bottom panel is removed there will be more screws visible, for front screen. After an afternoon of trying to get it apart, just to clean the mirror on ours, we finally got it.
