Question about Intertherm P3RA-048K Air Conditioner

1 Answer

I think I have the wrong air filter in electric furnace

The brand is Intertherm and is in my modular home. The model number is E2EH - 817HA. Another name is Nordyne. Is the 16x20x1 filter correct? As installed it does not cover the area where air is flowing. Should the air flow arrow be up or down?

Measure the width and length, then buy a filter that size.1" is correct for thickness.
The arrow points into the return. Not into the room.

I, too, have a mfg home with a Nordyne/Intertherm electric furnace. The Nordyne # is E2EH-012. An outside air conditioner central unit was added after mfg of home (before I bought the mobile home). Before I moved into the home a "handy man" came in to clean the furnace, etc. A filter (16 x 20 x 1) was removed that was really covered in dust, lint. My problem is I don't know where the filter was removed from. Where exactly is the filter supposed to go? Sorry, I am really ignorant about this sort of thing. Please help me!!!

I have an Intertherm MAC 2460 electric furnace that needs filters and there are no filters in it right now I have no owners manual what do I do?

I would think the easiest thing would be to measure the filter rack and purchase one. It's not good to run any air handler without a filter. The filter could be at the return air plenum or behind the return air grille if you have a single return.

OK. Let me answer you, even if honestly I don't have any idea about an INTERTHERM FORCED AIR FURNACE. To get any answer, to a problem, you should describe your problem. Just telling that you don't know what's wrong with it is simply no enough information, even for a star expert in your INTERTHERM FORCED AIR FURNACE.

My daughter recently purtchased a Trailer house which has a Intertherm Model MMHB-070ABHR-06. When we tried to service the air filter or Filters we discovered there were none. We know there should be

On some of the mobile home style furnaces, the door itself should be louvered for return air to enter the furnace. If so, look and you should see provisions for holding the filter in the door. It may be missing a long spring or other type of clip to retain it though.

If it is a gas furnace the flu pipe should come out the top, look on either side of the flu pipe for a door or pair of doors with a little sheet metal handle. If so, remove and look inside to see if there are provisions there.

Also iIf there is no louvered door, sometimes the filters just rest on top of the furnace. Not a good deal if so.

I have a Nordyne/Intertherm electric furnace #E2EH-012 in a mfg home I just moved into. The Handy Man removed a 16 x 20 x 1 filter (very dirty) from "somewhere". I'm not sure where a replacement filter...

The filter will go in to the backside (inside) of the cover with fins in it. There is a 1" (approx) bend (lip) there to hold filter in against backside of cover, in front of air vents. You may have to bend it slightly to get it in there but it will eventually fit in there snug. Incoming air will then be filtered as it is drawn through that filter, into blower area.
As far as fan switch goes, "auto mode" will be used when furnace is on, and fan will come on & off as necessary to dissipate heat as required. "Ventilate", should be basically same as "On", where the fan comes on to circulate the air throughout the home, just for airflow, and you control it manually.
So, when using furnace, have fan in "auto Mode".
