Trying to print photos from laptop to printer dock 3...
...what do I need to do this? I have a USB cord that will fit in both the dock and laptop. I have new paper and ink cartridge loaded in the dock. What else do I need? Where do I get this? Still a bit clueless about all this so please answer in layman's terms. Thanks so much for your help.

I would recommend that you undock the laptop, go into the Printers and Faxes console, and delete the printer. Then, dock the laptop, connect the USB cable to the dock and then re-install the printer through the dock. The USB ports on the laptop are assigned different hardware values than the PCI interface of the dock, and if the laptop is trying to print to a local USB port, it may not find the printer if it's connected through a PCI interface like the dock. That'd be my next move.
may be its problem *********** board. install another computer if you saw detect a new hardware so your printer is OK or no detect hardware devise then fault your printer mother board, replace it and buy a new mother board. Best luck xptareq2000 other help email@example.com.
This usually represents a communication issue... It could be between the doc and the printer (try a new USB cable) or it could be in the printer dock itself - if so, you would want to call Kodak to get a repair if they still repair them or maybe they have an upgrade path.
MAKE SURE PAPER IS NOT STUCK INSIDE.
UNPLUG POWER CORD/USB CORD/REMOVE PAPER TRAY
EJECT CARTRIDGE LOOK INSIDE THE DOCK WITH FLASHLIGHT TO SEE IF PAPER JAMMED IN THERE SOMEWHERE.
IF NONE AND NEW CARTRIDGE
TIME FOR SERVICE PROVIDER
MAY NEED A NEW PRINT HEAD
MAY BE TIME FOR NEW PRINTER DEPENDING ON PRICE.
KODAK HAS A NEW ONE WITH BELLS AND WHISTLES FAIRLY CHEAP.GOOD LUCK
Yes you can, but you need an appropriate USB cable----takes a regular USB type A on one end and a USB type MINI B (but NOT MICRO) on the other end. Kodak has one for 25 bucks. Stop at your local WalMart and pay 15 bucks or order it from Walmart.com for under 5 bucks (plus shipping of less than 3 bucks):
Hey roarkw, To my knowledge, in order to print photos from your PSP you will most likely need to transfer them to a computer that has a media card reader or back to your camera, assuming your portable printer has a camera docking station. The current PSP software version does not support an option to print photos, and only allows the PSP to serve as a photo storage/viewing device. Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead. UNPLUG POWER CORD/USB TO COMPUTER IN BACK OF DOCK.TAKE OUT PAPER TRAY.
LIFT DOCK (LOOK INSIDE (DEEP INSIDE AND SEE IF YOU SEE THE CARTRIDGE FILM ON A STEEL ROLLER,WRAPPED AROUND IT.)A FLASHLIGHT MIGHT HELP IN THAT STEP).
IF CARTRIDGE IS WRAPPED AROUND TAKE TO SERVICE PROVIDER(I TRIED TO FIX IT LIKE THAT AND IT WAS A HASSEL)
IF NOT WRAPPED AROUND GO TO CARTRIDGE OPEN DOOR/LIFTGREEN TAB UP.SHOULD EJECT(IF NOT TRY A BUTTER KNIFE AND PRY UNDER SLIVER DOT)NOT HARD BUT WITH ALITTLE FORCE SHOULD POP OUT.
REMEMBER TO LIFT GREEN TAB WHILE PRYING.
IF STILL STUCK MAY BE STUCK IN PRINT MODE
THATS BEYOND ME. GOOD LUCK.
