It sounds like the power supply is having an issue. Yes its easially replaced no special tools required just a screwdriver. You can get the power supply board from www.tvcircuitboards.com
Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
