Anyone have a solution ?

The headphone jack is soldered directly to the motherboard. finding a new one and getting it soldered on is the only option. As to the dvd I would remove it (one screw holds it in either on the bottom or under the keyboard) finding the model number and ordering a new one on ebay
Your video card in the laptop is failing. If you remove it, reapply new thermal paste and clean it all out while you are in there it may be fine.
Heat will cause all of your stated issues, as well as doing damage to the video card.
Laptops have a habit of building up dust and hair on the fins of the heatsinks causing them to bocome blocked and should be cleaned every 6 months at least.
connect yr system to an external Monitor(CRT) if it comes up then yr problem might be from the inverter, backlight, screen etc.
but if it doesnt come up then yr VGA card may be damaged.
NB:u must be sure ur system is up n working by pressing the caps lock key to check if the caps lock led will light up. if it doesnt lite up then yr system isnt up n running . what yu do at this atage is to replace the ram n or processor then it should display normal.
hope this helps
If you mean like squares of pixels then it will be the video memory on your video card failing or over heating.
Check the video card and make sure it's not clogged with hair and dust etc and reseat it. Also use good thermal paste when you put it back together between the heat sink and the GPU.
If that fails to improve things then a new video card will sort it right out.
You could always send it to me.. I have a thing for Ferrari's ;)
Hello. Vista needs a repair. You will want to start by putting in your own vista disc or borrowing one from someone. If your laptop isn't booting from the disc, then enter the bios (by hitting f2 or f12 usually) at bootup and select the DVD/CD rom drive to boot first. When the vista disc loads you will want to select recovery tools. Then select "startup repair". That should fix your problem.
