I have 1995 pontiac firebird i disconnected the battery and now my radio says it is theft protected and locked i dont have a code or any idea how to unlok it
I did this like 6 months ago on my 95 firebird. Dont pay $50 for the dealer to
"crack the code"
This might not be the dealer code i used,
so if it's dead, google for a working one. Heres how ya do it,
press the 2 & 3 numbers at the same time for about 10
seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will come up; press the am/fm button for about 10
seconds; another code will appear; dial 1-800-537-5140 and enter 106010
followed by the # sign; enter the 4 or 6 digit code from your radio followed by
an *; the phone number will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code; enter this
code into your radio just as your owners manual tells you to - use the hour and
minute buttons to put in the unloc code.
Disclamer* just for legit owners who forgot their lock #'s
You should check the owners manual. There usual is a printed code in it for the radio. If not theres 2 other suggestions. You can try the default codes which are all zero's or all one's or in some cases sequential order starting from one. Otherwise you have to bring it to the dealer along with the title with your name on it and they will look it up by VIN.
You can also try calling a GM dealer they may be able to help as well

If you still have the owners manual, they may have written the code inside it.
