Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
The first thing you need to do is connect different things to the unit to see if the black line is there on all inputs with different devices. Then, press MENU, SETUP, RESET, unit will then ask you if you want to return to factory preset values, and you select yes. The tv will then turn itself off and back on. If the line is still there, turn the unit off and unplug it for one minute then plug it back in. If you still have the line there, I hope you are still in warranty with Sharp because you are looking at a service issue. IF you are still within warranty, take 3-4 digital pictures of the line on the unit and be prepared to e-mail them to their tech support because that is what they will have you do. good luck
