I scoured the internets looking for a guide to get this bugger apart, but got bored and started poking around with a screwdriver and got it apart (with some very careful and brave prying)

I don't have a camera but here's a summary of how I did it:

1. Remove the battery cover and the battery. Always remove the battery.

2. Get a small screwdriver and pry off the cover on top that is over the camera lens and flash.

3. Remove all visible screws from the back.

4. The black piece needs to come off now, get a screwdriver or pry tool and get under it and carefully pry it up.

5. Now you have access to the board, there are 3 connectors underneath it that you just need to pop off.

6. With the board out of the way, you can see 4 more screws. Remove those and you will be able to separate the two halves (there is some glue holding it together I thought there was something else attaching it but it should come right apart)

7. Now you can take out the 6 screws holding the LCD together.

8. Take off the back of the LCD and now you can get to the screen! I haven't actually removed the screen because I was still getting a display, but it was discolored and yellow. I tried re-seating all the cables and the display works great now!

Hope this helps, sorry I can't be more detailed about the LCD but I already put mine back together and stripped a screw -_- its working now so I can't complain much.

    Thanks!!

    1) SIM card needs to be out so one of the screws in 3 is not missed.
    2) There are 4 connectors in 5 if you include the single wire (coax) connector that looks like a terminal, but is a connector near the bottom of the board. It will unplug

On the outside of the phone there will be small rubber plugs, under those will be tiny torx security screws, there will also be screws under the battery cover, to get the special screw driver for the tiny torx screws go on ebay and buy a kit, real cheap, about $6

You definatly don't want to attempt without the disassembly tool.
It is a levered plastic tool that separates the 2 halves of the phone without damaging the circuitboard.
Without this tool, disassembly is not advised.
Your local phone tech can halve them for ou for a nominal fee.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

First off all remove battery . Then remove sets of screws present in it . Then be careful in removing the board and its connection with the screen . You need to be careful doing this . If you a have service manual with you it will be helpful .
