Question about Lexmark X2690 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a Lexmark All-in-One X2690, insteading of purchasing new ink cartridges, I opted to ''refill'' them, however, the Lexmark software is telling me that ''cartridges installed are not compatible''. They are the very same ones that were in it first, I only removed them to fill them. Have I damaged the unit? Is there any way of using these two fully filled cartridges?
New at this ''refill'' option.
There really isn't. Lexmark's 'official answer' that I have seen is this:
Genuine Lexmark inks and cartridges are perfectly matched to the printing system to ensure that every document produced is of the highest possible print quality, providing long-term dependable service from your Lexmark printer. Using incompatible inks in an attempt to extend the life of a genuine Lexmark cartridge beyond its recommended usage can cause failures in several different areas of the printer. Any such damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges will not be covered by your Lexmark printer Warranty, Extended Warranty or Service Agreement.
If the error message stopped you from using the refilled cartridges, you shouldn't have damaged the unit in any way.
