i purchased a planet 3 model 66306 double swing arm articulatable lcd, plasma 36"- 63" mount but it did not have the 2 long mounting brackets that get mounted onto tv which allows you to hang tv onto mount. can i purchase a set or can you direct me to a site that i can??
the wall mount should have came with the proper screws to fit the back of your tv, if the screws fit the mounting holes on your wall mount, fit the larger screws that came with your tv through and make sure its tight, if so it should work.
the TV will mount to the wall via the VESA screw mounts on the back of the LCD. If it is a smaller, monitor sized LCD then the screw pattern will be either 75x75mm or 100x100mm. On larger TVs is it usually 100x200mm. Sometimes the base is screwed into this mount and othertimes to the bottom. Simply unscrew it from the screen. Be sure that the wall mounting kit can handle your LCDs VESA screw pattern, screen size and screen weight.
To make it simple: Mounts go by the size of the TV. You have the choice to get a standard mount that can only swing or a mount that can swing and tilt or even extend. Plasma TVs are a bit heavier, than LCDs therefore, you need a solid mount. There are wall mounts and ceiling mounts. Mounts can be purchased from Home Depot, Lowe's and best buy, they can also be bought on line. If you buy it from a local store and does not fit, you can take it back the next day, an option you wont have if you buy online.
