Hitachi 51F500 Cleaning

I just got a 5 yeear old 51F500 and would like to clean the projector lenses and back side of the screen.  How do I get at them.  I opened the lower back half and blew it out, but see no way to get at the back side of the screen or projector.  Does the screen come off?  Also I am very good with electronics.  Is there some settings other than what is in the onscreen menu I can do to clean up the image?
Thanks

To clean:
1) Remove front bottom cover - pull outward
2) Remove 8 screws at bottom of screen, slide screen upward to remove
Do not touch any of the electrical components, they can store energy and are also sensitive to static.
3) Clean inside of screen with light cleaner
4) Dry clean lenses with non-abrasive DRY cloth - no cleaners
5) Vacuum any remaining dust or cobwebs inside cabinet
6) Install screen and trim and "test" it for a bit

The trim on the screen pops off and behind that trim are screws that hold the screen in place...once you remove the screen you can clean the lenses and the mirror and maybe get a cleaner clearer image

How do I clean the inside of the lens on my wonderwall 1625073 projector

It is recommended only cleaning the outside of most projector lenses. However if obstructions have worked their way into the case and will not leave the lens, you may be able to remove the bulb (carefully, following the manuals instructions for bulb replacement)
And gently spray inside towards the lens where the bulb was. However, keep in mind the display itself sits between the bulb and the lenses,
Some projectors have air fins along the sides of the lens, some air in these fins can also loosen debris away from the lens.
Ensure the front of the lens is not dirty and that the focus has been properly adjusted before cleaning the back of the lens.

Cleaning lenses on projection tv

Have the set unplugged please.

CAN BE DONE FROM REAR--from the front is a bit tricky and dangerous---from rear with rear cover removed locate the three large black lens( hard to miss them) and clean them with a lens cloth or a paper towel with glass cleaner sprayed on it.

Depending on how much dust===should be done one time a year.

My Hitachi TV is showing a double vision on the lefthand side of the screen.

Your projection lenses are probably covered in dust. My TV did the same thing with the blue color on the right side. Usually you can get to the projectors from the bottom front or back. Goo luck.

Typically this is an indication of dirt in the optical path. Try blowing out the area using compressed air. Also, make sure that the lens is clean. Use a cloth and solution made specifically for cleaning lenses.

"burn in"

The burn in can't be fixed cheaply. You would have to replace the burnt crt guns. The screen can be removed for cleaning.behind the speaker grill are several screws right below the screen.Remove them and slide the whole screen assembly upward.
