No heat in the dryer

A recent change- the dryer is working but there is no heat...just tumbling...what could be the issue?

I have a whirlpool dryer and the air flow is good, it is tumbling, but no heat. I have already replaced the heating element (which is no big deal) but it is still not getting hot! I read somewhere that it could be the thermostat or the fuse? where are they?

Many of the heating elements can be seen and changed by laying the dryer on its back...the element is usually visible from the bottom. I found the part on the link I am incuding for you. Hoover VHC 691B80 Dryer Element 2100W

Not drying clothes

If the unit is heating properly which it should pull around 25 amps when heating , and the unit is tumbling it is 100% an exhaust issue , either a kinked duct behind the unit , a ball of lint stuck in the duct , lint build up outside in vent , or water in under ground duct. If you find the clog it will be FIXED!

Dryer tumbles, no heat

Fist thing to check is if the manual reset on the heater box has tripped. That dryer can be serviced from the front. Also, there is a heater upgrade kit that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts that has several updated parts in it for the top load electric dryers.

There are several things that can cause the reset to pop out. You may have a lint build up behind the shroud where the lint bucket fits.

This is a complicated appliance. You may wish to obtain a service manual for it.
