Question about Sony pcga-cd71 - Vaio CD-ROM Drives (PCGACD71)
I'm using Sony vaio notebook, model:PCG-5K1L & i was looking for the cd-rom driver download. can anyone help?
SOURCE: sony cd driver
Hi, the CD doesn't actually require a "Specific Driver" in fact Windows has a "Built in Driver" that would work O.O.B. (Out Of the Box) If there is a specific driver then of course one would use that. However I think you will find that this is just an ordinary IDE CD. Simply connect it up and if it works it will "Show Up" in "My Computer" and be ready to use. If it doesn't work, then generally it is kaput.. and no amount of software shuffling will make and difference.

That is because the actual Sony model is VGN-S360.or VGN-S360P You should be able to verify it. The model nember is not on the bottom it is on the RH LCD hinge. I do not think you can download the drivers anywhere but you can try:
or just buy aa set of recovery DVDs from Sony
If you have the VGN-S360:
If you have the VVGN-S360P then
