OK I looked at Echousa.com and see that there shoule be a hex nut on the side where the clutch is. It doesn't specify whether it is left or right hand thread. but what I used to do is we have a plastic plug to put in the cylinder to stop piston from moving and then putting a ratchet on the hex nut. without the plug you can try an impact wrench to BUMP the nut in forward and reverse to remove it. Make sure the switch is off before attempting either action. You can look at the manual or parts explosion at the site I listed

How to reassemble chain brake on an Echo CS-350T that jammed and was pulled apart by someone else?

From what I see you will need assemble thing leaving the main spring and brake cover off. Before attempting to put the main back in install a clutch drum inside the brake band. Then you slip on the main spring and pry the end on with a flat blade screw driver. Now install in the cover for the spring and brake. Reset the chain brake and remove the drum.

Now install the chain brake on the saw and test. Do not trip the chain brake without the clutch drum in place. If these are anything like the Husqvarna version after they get worn they will get where it is nearly impossible to reset.

Brand new chain saw bought from reputable dealer. The CS600. It was missing a part on the oiler and dealer fixed. Now the clutch overheats badly, to the point it acyually smokes. Does Echo have a policy...

Not had a lot to do with Echo, but have always heard good reports, for smoke to come from the clutch cover the clutch would have to be slipping, either due to running with the chainbrake on, or useing with a very blunt chain. To make sure the brake is off, pull the hand guard fully back to the top handle.

You will need to release the brake by applying a very heavy screwdriver to the + shaped part of the brake coupling. Check the action of the brake handle and duplicate it at the the +. Hope this helps!

Where would i get a sprocket for aecho 451vl

You have a lot of options if a drive sprocket.
Oregon Bar & Chain Selector (input CS-451 for model number)

She has an outboard clutch. This is a guide for removal:

  1. Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed. Poulan (Craftsman, Jonsered, Husky) clutch removal tool part number 530031112 if needed, is under $5 from many sources (look at the visible area between the weights if 2 small round sockets are visible you need the tool).
  2. There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of nylon rope (nothing left behind) be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. Everyone I have ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
It lists a special tool for clutch removal, see the IPL, page 15; item 16; pn 89750502830 - changes to 89750516133. Please verify ALL part numbers provided.

Replace the oil pump in a Echo CS4400 Chain Saw

An IPL for a CS4400 Chainsaw can be found here (there are multiple IPLs, please ensure this is your saw):
EchoUSA
http://www.echo-usa.com/documentation.asp?Model=cs4400&lang=E
There is no sigle illustration of all oiler components, they appear on multiple illustrations.
From the IPL it has an outboard clutch, it appears the oil pump is behind it. Use this a guide for clutch removal:
