Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Hi, we have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher which mid way through a cycle a button saying Check Water came on. we turned the machine off and opened the door and found loads of water in the bottom. my husband then scooped all the water out and cleaned filter in the bottom, where we did find some bits of plastic from the kids yoghurt pots, and took the water hose off the back and checked for blockages, which there was none. the water is certainly coming from the water pipe through the hose as we tested this over the sink, but the machine still doesnt seem to taking the water into the machine although you can hear the fan? something working at the bottom. the Check Water button still wont go out and cannot get the machine to work. anybody have any ideas, really dont want to resort to the 'old fashioned way' of washing up as there are five of us and we have loads....: thx!

Check your water level sensor. And also check to make sure that your pump is working correctly. It sounds like a couple of different things that need to be addressed. First check the water level sensor. It is a tube that is located from the back of the knob cover down to the pump. The other would be to make sure that the pump is working correctly and is not just draining water all the time. You can check these with a volt meter and make sure each is getting voltage

My bosch exxcel dishwasher is saying to check the water how do i do that

There is a water inlet valve (lower front service panel) and solenoid located. Check to make sure that there is no blockage, if the main or other tubing entering or exiting this valve is kinked, the machine will display the check water light. There is also a float switch on the inside of the dishmachine, if it is stuck, the light will go off also. Ensure that water is flowing into the machine, and there are no kinks in any of the hoses. If there arent, look into the float. If it is under warranty, do not attempt to do any of this yourself, call for bosch support first.

Bosch dishwasher does not let water in

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

Make sure the drain pump is clear of any blockages and obstructions and that the drain hose wasn't kinked when you re-installed it.

Bosch Exxcel Auto option

There should be a float switch inside the dishwasher sometimes these get hung up on the full position which in turn keeps the solenoid from allowing the water to come on. remove the bottom rack and check to see if this is the case. Dislodging the float should fix the problem. If not listen to see if the solonoid Clicks when you turn the cycle to fill position if not it could be either solonoid or the timer. if you hear click and still no water check strainer in water line could be clogged or water is turned off some where.

Hi jane_taylor4

The water valve could be bad. Depending on how old the dish washer is there was some prolems with the older water valves. the water vavle is the most common problem with the bosch dishwashers when water will not come in.

My bosch exxcel dishwasher will not drain after wash cycle

That is because the water level switch activated by the floating sensor is stuck.

You probably need to have the water level switch replaced.
