My Vizio 32 inch LCD will not turn on. The on/off light flickers instead of powering up. At first, this would happen from time to time over a couple of weeks and now the television will not come on at all.

I have had the same problem. I called vizio they told me how to reset my tv. It did not help me, However, maybe it will help you. They said turn the power off, Unplug it hold in power button for 30 seconds then plug it back in and power it back up. My white light flickered and then nothing. So I am going to end up buying a new tv all together.
You should let it sits for at least 72 hours. does the TV have a orange Vizio logo light when you plug in the power? what about when you turn it on, does the Vizio logo light turns white? if yes to these two questions and you still does not have picture or sound, it could be your main board or inverter that got fried.
Try unplugging the tv and holding down the power button for 30 seconds than pluuging it back in and if it does not come back on the tv will need a repair to the power supply, just call tech support and make sure to have the serial number and the reciet handy so they can get you registered on the support system. Hopefully your tv is still under the one year mark than the repair will be free if not it can get expensive fast. Me personnaly have worked for vizio for about a year now and honestly this is a very common problem with theses tv's.
