Question about Canon CP-330 Thermal Photo Printer

1 Answer

Canon cp-330 prints only one haf of the picture

After some months of inoperation the printer reproduce only the upper haf of the picture. I have changed every thing! but the problem remains. I have the same issue!! It began as a "burnt" look the the bottom and then as each photo printed the more of the photo was affected. I stopped the printer when half the picture was white.

I changed the paper, the cartridge and it still didn't change. Is it the "thermal" light???

I put in the black "cleaner cartridge" a couple of times and reprinted the photo. Still not working. Did I do it right?

Click on Start - Settings - Control Panel - Printers and right-click on
your printer icon, then click on Printer Preferences. Then click on the
maintenance tab and select "Head Cleaning".

    If you still have problem
    Then look at this picture

There is a small plastic part that is used to press the head against the
paper. the plastic part at the end (right side facing the printer as
the usb is on the left side) this plastic part fails along the axis of
the rod, giving way to the stress of the print head, this causes the
printer to only put the ink down on half the page.

Can't help you with OSX; your printer should work, no idea why it doesn't but then, I don't know much about OSX.

Vista driver for canon cp 300 printer

if Vista and 7 is unsupported by the printer manufacturer, you are pretty much out of luck. If Vista and 7 say the printer is unsupported or un certified, run the manufacturer software if you want.

You doult run in emulate mode ... but for as cheap as printers are these days, why would you want to run in that mode?

Pictures are printed with stripes and poor color

make sure your printer printed an initialisation or alignment sheet once you installed the new cartridge.
you can try a partial reset of the printer and check if the printer prints fine, also there is an option of cartridge calibration in the printer properties or the printer software installed in your computer
