Question about Canon Cameras
I generally use the auto mode, suddenly the camera's pictures are purple and distorted, especially outside, buildings, etc. The image edges, houses for example are now spiked at the roof line. I tried a couple manual modes in the problem persists - mostly purple, little color and clarity.
You didn't mention which specific Canon Model camera you had. This is important, as Canon will fix certain models with this problem for free. The symptoms you describe sound like a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon may fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status.
