My MP3/wma digital audio player wont let...

I have a green ilo MP3/wma digital audio player, i've had it for years and i've never had a problem with it, infact i love the product, but this morning i wanted to change the music on it, I plugged it in went through the steps of taking the music off and I get an error message saying "it is not possible to change sync settings at this time please try again later" i've never had this problem, can you help me?
