1. YOUR flyback is going bad 2. Peform a removal and replacement 3. check your error codes first to ensue nothing else exists 4. Proceed to change out the required parts 5. Observe all electrical risks 6. Order replacements from jimmyparts.com 7. Ensure to always remove power 8. Ensure to always use electrostatic wrist strap
Generally what occurs is the units soldered connections on the main projection board warm up as the system warms up. Thus, the loose capacitors, resisters, and diodes are causing the CHANGE when the system warms up. When metal contracts, it expands thus losing the connection needed for a solid connection. This process is normal after the units have reached their service life. Keep in mind that you can repair this but at the expense of time if you have never performed this type of work.

HITACHI MODEL # 53UDX10B has a flashing red light and a buzzing sound

If it was transported likely the set was damaged--one of the three picture tubes used could have been damaged--the flashing light is the set trying to come on and the buzzing is related to whatever is bad.

It needs to be opened and inspected.

Buzzing sound in the background on lcd rear projection tv 42v715

flinx2000,

Your description sounds like you have a bad color wheel. The color wheels generally do not have bearings, only bronze bushings. Due to all the heat generated in the set the little grease in the bushings dry out and the unit begins to make noise. This is not a difficult repair but does require alot of work and dilligence. If you think that you can tackle this repair you should read my tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4160054-replace_color_wheel_in_dlp_projection_tv which will walk you through the repair and get your unit going.

My Hitachi hdtv won't turn on. The lights blink and it makes a buzzing sound then after about a minute it shuts off. Any ideas?

Possible fault either in the power supply SMPS unit or the main board of the set. please checck my link:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r5826301-working_switch_mode_power_supplies

If not helpful in the SMPS then check the main board for dry points, possible short in the convergence section.

Hitachi c2114t loud buzz on bright screen

sounds like you have a gun or picture tube shorting. check the bottom of the tubes when you turn it on and see it one of them is lit up more then the other two if you find that then unplug the circut board thats pluged into the tube and turn on the tv again and see if you problem goes away minus that color.

No sound on hitachi 53sdx01b

The first thing to try is rescanning the Freeview channels as it may just be a software corruption...if you have the option of "1st time installation" pick that. Also let me know if there is any buzzing sound coming from the tv..
