Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player
My sansa MP3 player froze and will not turn back on. I tried to reset the device but nothing happens. What should I do?
SOURCE: Sansa mp3 froze
IF the other solution doesnt work, you can try putting it into Recovery Mode, just to unfreeze it.
- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button for a few seconds.
If you see Welcome to Recovery Mode, let go of the Record button and hold the power button to shut it off. Then restart it.
Best of Luck.

Hello, and thanks for using FixYa! The reset is actually format. Go into the menu and find format. Accept the format device and it will reset everything. If this was helpful, please take a moment and rate the solution! Thanks, and Good Luck!

Have you tried another set of headphones? Normally the headphones wire is what goes, instead of the jack itself.
I've never opened one of those up, but I guess you could re-solder a new jack into it if you were adept at that sort of thing...Finding the right jack is the trick, I'm afraid.
I'd repost your question to the sandisk forum board here. Also see this list. It sounds like yours is a common complaint, and you may have good luck contacting sandisk technical support and getting it repaired...
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
