My Insignia pilot 4GB player (video) is affected by virus. can i format the player if so then how to install the interface (player software) again? Where can i find the installable software for the same.
Please help me with this .. urgently in need of it.. Thanks in advance
First, to reformat the player, with the unit off, enable the lock and then plug in the usb cable. The player should show up as a removable drive that you can reformat. Second, the player software is in firmware and is not affected by reformatting.

Most MP3 players have their own CD that came with the device. That
should carry the stock firmware of your MP3. You need to connect the
device to a computer and then load the CD. Through the instruction
manual, you will have an idea on how you can re-flash the firmware.
If you're not so sure about it, you may contact the manufacturer and ask them for the latest firmware version that your device should be back to normal.
#1 Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer. #2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. #3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. #4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. #5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. #6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Try reset, repair, and recovery methods to make sure it is not a software issue. If those methods fail, you have a damaged lcd screen, and the player will need to be replaced. There is no repair svc for damaged lcd screens.
