What do you do if machine starts filling tube

Mystery machines are always problematical to answer. We ask for full 'make model (what it is)', and a clear question.

Do you mean the drain hose? The only other tube is the one to the water level sensor.

Drain hose issues are normally caused by pump obstructions.

Water level sensors can fail, but you need to make sure the seal on both ends of the pipe are airtight.

How do I fix washing machine to finish emptying during rinse and spin cycle?

Long shot, but does it fill the same as when new? I would check the atmospheric switch which is a hollow tube that runs down the inside of the drum(not in the wash cage) when the water fills, It pushes air up to stop the fill. It may have gotten clogged. Or partially clogged.

What is causing the water lines to pulse enough to rattle the house piping when the washer starts filling?

This is known as "water hammer" noise or the result of an explosive rush of water moving through your pipes with such force that a shock wave is created and leads to a banging noise that repeats itself. Sometimes this is called plumbers knock. There is nothing you can do about that other than change the pressure externally to reduce the rush.

Cannot get any hot water, cold water will keep rushing in and overflow washer if you don't turn of the tap,now it is trying to fill up but water is draining before it fills to wash clothes

I would start by checking the control valves. inspect for proper function, if the water is not shutting off it sounds like it may need to be replaced. Im pretty sure the valve is controled by an electrical relay, and that may need to be tested as well. Once again, always call a professional if you dont feel comfortable doing any of these tasks.

White flakes in circular pattern under washer of 7 years. Time to replace?

First we started hearing a grinding sound during the spin cycle. My husband replaced the belt, which was loose and not helping the spinning of the tub any, thus much wetter clothing after spin cycle. The belt gave us another week of use out of the machine and did drain the tub better, but then water started leaking into the tub from the water inlet (or area where water rushes in to fill tub), and was not up to the usual "rush" of water, when filling up. The grinding sound started again during the spin cycle, and so now we are assuming it is the ball bearings or the brakes and perhaps the water pump as well. Estimates for these jobs on the boards seems to run from $400-500.00. The machine is only 7 years old, but after reading so many posts, maybe I should count my blessings that it lasted that long! This was an all mechanical machine, which I loved. Atlantis Maytag, a very sturdy and solid looking machine. Never did really clean that well though. SOLUTION: we are getting a new machine.

Water runs into tub but does not fill?

be sure the drain hose is not lower than the wash tub this will caust the water to run out, 2nd be sure the drain hose is not pushed to far into the house stand pipe and the there is rome for air to go inbetween the drain hose and stand pipe eather of these will cause the machine to siphon mostly on rince cycle or on the 2nd and third loads you do. last your house drain could be starting to back up fill the washer with water and listen to it drain if you hear a gurggling sound in the house pipe you may need a plumber to cleanthis out for you.

Cycle will not start

sounds like your machine is not taking in any water at all, which is the first thing the dishwasher wants to do on all programme settings. The constant whirring noise you refer to will be the water valve trying to take water into your machine. As yours isn't filling in the first place the programme cannot progress without water and it will just sit there whirring.Anyway, to resolve this matter I would check the fill hose which goes from the back of machine to your cold water pipe in your kitchen/utility, in case somebody has turned off supply.where the flexi hose meets the copper supply pipe there should be a thumbturn shut/open valve, turn this 90 degrees or a quarter turn and if you here a rush of water for a split second then you have fixed it.At this point try setting away a programme to see if water is going into dishwasher. If not have a bucket ready and unscrew the flexi hose altogether to make sure water is travelling past shut/open valve. If not you need a new shut/open valve. If water is able to pass this valve reconnect to dishwasher turn shut/open valve a quarter turn to open flow of water again, test machine on any programme again ,if it fills then your sorted, if not it must be your dishwashers internal water valve that will need replacing. Not a major job (located behind fill hose) but make sure electric and water supplies are off first before dabbling and write down your machines make and model number before shopping for part. GOOD LUCK.
