The audio jack is on the lefthand side of the laptop and will be the closest one to the front of the laptop

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I cannot get sound from my internal speakers on dell d600 latitude. Headphones work and sound comes out of internal speakers briefly when pulling jack plug out? So I know they work but just cannot get...

This sounds like a defective audio port. In normal operation, plugging in a headphone plug breaks the connection to the speakers. On your laptop, when you pull out the plug it makes a connection, but only briefly. Unfortunately the audio port is built into the system board. I don't think you will find a software fix for this problem. Your best bet is to get a USB sound device for external speakers.

My Dell D620 lost audio on the laptop today. Went

Try system restore, if it fails, try to perform 32 bit dell diagnostics on the audio by booting the computer using the resource cd. make sure that the external speakers is disconnected. if still no sound on the diagnostics then you need to replace the internal speakers.

Hi

If you are sure everything is installed correctly and the volumeis not mutes

I would recommned that you hook up a pair of external speakers to rule out hardware fault

Where is the sound in./out for hooking up external speakers

Hi,
Look at the front and sides of the laptop for the headphone and microphone jack ports.
Some of them are coloured Pink for the microphone and green for headphone (audio out). some of them are also black.

Good luck.

Not hearing any sound from my d600 pc . not even when i turn it on

try using external speakers or headphones, if the problem persists, you might have a sound card problem.

If external speakers or hearphones work, you might need to replace your speakers
