Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Turn the Keyboard over and press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver. Should work okay then.
Hope this helps. Bud

I need to connect the mouse to my computer

You can get the correct driver from
http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Wireless-Optical-Mouse/4085925/model/4188112
After following instructions, you will need a RESTART.
However, be sure to install a fresh AA battery in the mouse.
Then after the restart, plug in the USB dongle. push the CONNECT button It is under the red light under the mouse) for several seconds.
You should be connected.
Please be aware that this mouse has had a lot of unfavorable comments from users. Complaints are:
1. Battery needs to be replaced after 1 day of use.
2. Mouse clicks on its own - very frustrating.
3. Mouse sucks.
This model is no longer supported by HP.
IMHO, get another mouse at Walmart. Save your stomach.

I've tried several times to get this wireless mouse and keyboard

  • Hi, these instructions will help you, and "everything that you do for the Keyboard; apply the same instruction to the Mouse." First, click on the "Start" button, in the ["Start Search Window], Type: keyboard; the "Keyboard's" Properties window will open. You can (Test) to see exactly how your keyboard is responding. If you are still having the same problem, (check, the Keyboard Status). "Update the Drivers," by clicking on the "Properties" button. Now in the event that neither of these solutions solve the problem, which I hope you shouldn't have to do anymore; "Uninstall the Keyboard. To "Uninstall the "Keyboard," do the following: Shut-down (turn- off completely); disconnect all the Keyboard Devices that are connected to the Computer. Next, turn-on the Computer, and go back to the "Keyboard Properties," this time click on the "Change Settings" button, next click on the "Driver" button, and select the "Uninstall" button. Once that is finished, shut-down the Computer again. Now you want to "Reconnect" all the devices that were connected before, and "Turn-on" the Computer. "You will repeat exactly what you did from the start, this will "Re-install the Keyboard. "Restart the Computer again after all changes have been made; this will ensure the changes take effect properly. "Rating the solution will let me know if it worked; or you may need further assistance, thanks."
