You can do the installation yourself as it's pretty straight forward (all you will need is a screwdriver to remove the cover plate that covers the RAM).
You can identify the RAM plate by looking on the back of your laptop. The RAM plate will have a small (and I mean, very small) picture of a RAM chip next to it.
Once you've found it, you will see two screws (these may be hidden by labels or rubber pads). Simply remove the screws, remove the plate, take out the old RAM chip, and pop in the new ones.
If you need to identify the type of RAM to purchase, I'd recommend either consulting your laptops documentation (or the documentation on the manufacturers website if you don't have a hard copy), or by;
1. Downloading Aida32

2. Popping along to Crucial
www.crucial.com
Crucial requires ActiveX, and will automatically detect the type of RAM required for your system.
