Hi-float balloons is basically a way to extend the life of helium balloons that would otherwise deflate in around 8-16 hours. The hi-float treatment coats the inside of the balloon and helps them to last up to 25 times longer (depending on the quality of the hi-float treatment).

How much air is contained in a 17 diameter balloon?

It really depends on the shape of the balloon.
If we assume that an air balloon is a sphere, then the volume of the balloon is:

V = (4/3) * Pi * R^3

"R" is the radius of the balloon. The volume might be a bit bigger if it has any bulges on it.

If we assume the balloon is a cylinder, then the volume is

V = L * Pi * R^2

"L" is the length and "R" is the radius of a circular cross-section.

How do you make your own juggling balls?

1. Use a funnel to fill a balloon with rice. You can decide how heavy you want the ball to be.

2. Cut the skinny end off another balloon and wrap it around the ball of rice.

3. Keep adding more balloons - alternating where you leave the opening so that the ball keeps its shape and stays even.

4. You can glue shapes of balloon on to the final ball to decorate.

Where can I buy hi-float so that I can get party helium balloons to stay up much longer?

Try amazon. They have a 16 oz bottle for around $18.

The reviews for hi-float have been a bit mixed. Some people felt that their balloons stayed up for ages and others complained it didn't really work but it's not that expensive, so it's worth a try.

no louver cover over the vent? If you can see the balloon spray peroxide on it to deflate it and fish the balloon out with an electricians wire feeder

How does it work

In all cases, there is a small, factory-manufactured cylinder of highly compressed gas (usually CO2) with a mechanism on it that perforates a given area when actuated -- for example, by pulling a 'string' or by the action of opening a depressurised aircraft door. A parallel would be tripping the plate on a mousetrap -- all that gas is busting to get out, and when its weak point is compromised, that's exactly what happens. In other words, when the cylinder of gas gets a hole punched into it in the right place, the gas inside floods out -- usually into a big plastic bag in the shape of an inflatable raft or vest. Think of it as, all the air that could fill a big balloon, but wedged into something the size of a medical capsule. Pop the capsule, the balloon fills up. Except it's not air, and it's not a balloon.
