Ok i run a appliance repair company DENTON appliance and your problem is simple you have a water temp problem the are two thermo sensor under the bottom of the tub one or both are bad causing the heater not to come on to heat the water. it could be a bad heating element but you would be able to see a burned spot on the element. it takes hot water to remove the soap film this should fix your problem.

My Frigidaire dishwasher is leaving soap, a lot of soap, on dishes under where the dispenser dispenses. It just started hapening. Also, it has always left a light film on the clear glasses.

I scrubbed the screens with a brush and added two cups of white vinegar to the bottom of the washer, then ran it. Cleaned up nicely. I most likely will add a cup of vinegar once a week.

Doesn't drain; glasses have film; rinses with used, soapy water

The white film problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

Dihes not clean

Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.
