The main root folders of the PSP have actually changed with different Firmware's so I'm going to give you the more traditional ones, which still work fine. When you connect it to the computer, (I'm going to use X:\ as the drive of your Memory Stick, you just replace the letter and it will work), go into X:\, then create a folder called PSP. Within X:\PSP, create PHOTO, VIDEO, GAME, SYSTEM, COMMON, and that should cover it, the PSP should do the rest. There might be other things that are necessary, but if it doesn't work, put it in the PSP, go to [Settings], and Format the Memory Stick from inside the PSP, it should leave all those folders behind.

Create them yourself. Here's what you should make:
The indentions show what goes in each folder.
Ex: COMMON goes inside PSP, UPDATE goes inside PSP, etc.

Removable Disk:
   -VIDEO
   -MUSIC
   -PICTURE
   -MP ROOT
       -100ANV01
       -101ANV01
       -100MNV01
   -PSP:
       -COMMON
       -MUSIC
       -PHOTO
       -GAME:
            -UPDATE
       -SAVEDATA
       -RSSCH
       -SYSTEM
       -THEME

How do I clear the memory on a psp so i can access the internet?

  1. Empty your trash. If you have deleted saved files and have not emptied the trash on your device, you have not cleared up any memory--you have only reallocated it to a different part of the device.
  2. Step 2 Select "Home," "Settings" and then "System Settings" on your unit using your arrow keys.
  3. Step 3 Scroll through your "System Settings" options with the "X" button until you find "Format Memory Stick." Click "X" to select.
  4. Step 4 Choose "Yes" to confirm that you want to reformat the memory stick. The PSP will then reformat the stick removing all saved files and reformatting the stick back to its original memory space.
  5. Step 5 Plug your PSP or PSP memory card into your computer as another method of clearing your PSP's memory space. Once you have done so, select the appropriate drive letter, find the files you wish to delete and delete them as you would any PC file, or select "Ctrl" plus "A" to select all files and then click your "Delete" key.
this should do it for ya.. hope this helps ^_^

Psp HAving problems with games

The memory card has to be supported by the PSP, first of all, and the CSO Games have to be saved in the ISO Folder of your Memory Stick root. You might have to make this folder if you don't already have it.

Where is the iso folder is located in the memory stick

The ISO Folder should be in your Memory Stick root.

Example: E:ISO

If you don't already have it, you should make it. Remember to name it "ISO" instead of "iso". For the PSP to recognize the folder, it should be in capital letters.

BIG HELP

is your PSP modified/CFW? if not it wont play cso or iso games. When u formatted your memory stick it will create ISO folder in the root of the memory stick. you said you created the folder, sounds to me that your not using CFW. this wont work.

If your using CFW/modified then format your memory stick using format option of your psp. Copy the cso/iso files to the ISO folder and that should work.

Help?

You have to make an ISO folder and put the iso files inside that folder. It has to be in the root of your memory stick or else it won't work. It probably got deleted when you formatted the Memory Stick.

Missing ISO folder

The thing is, the ISO folder doesn't come with your PSP Memory Stick. However, the best solution would be to make the folder! Just keep in mind that the name of the folder have to be in all CAPITAL letters. The ISO folder goes in the root of your memory stick.

Video folder

First of all i would recommend you to format the psp's memory stick. This deletes all the files on the card but makes 5 or maybe 6 new folders with the names MUSIC,VIDEO,MP ROOT,GAME etc.If you have formatted the stick already but the folders aren't present then you have to make these new folders.Make a new folder called 'VIDEO' on the card and then copy paste your videos into the card.Remember the videos have to be in MPEG 4 format. If not you can convert them into this format by downloading a video converter [ ex-xilisoft].Please mail me if the problem persists.
Thanks
