My HP Laserjet 3330 keeps saying "Upgrade Error!"

Can I fix this or is this something that needs to be done by a professional? Is this going to cost a lot of $$?

SOURCE: Document feeder jam

if you open the cover where you feed in the documents to be copied, look on the back side of that cover and you should see a little black plastic piece that dangles from the cover. Make sure first of all that is is there, and it moves freely. This makes contact with a sensor when the cover is closed. And of course make sure the cover is closed tightly. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Remove the small glass pane of the left side of the scanner bed. You onlt need to remove one screw. Push the driver belt which will move the scanner to the left. It can be a little tricky to move the scanner the last little bit so you may need needle nose pliers or someone with a hook (I used a fork) to pull the scanner last little bit. Once the scanner is in the open spot where you removed the glass panel, simple take a q-tip and clean the mirror.

I did this and my machine is working just fine.

SOURCE: how to fax from glass on laserjet 3330

Use the alphanumeric buttons on the device control panel to dial the number.
If the fax number you are calling has been assigned to a one-touch key, press that key.
If the fax number you are calling has a speed-dial entry, press phone book, use the
alphanumeric buttons to enter the speed-dial entry, and then press menu/enter.
Note When dialing by using the alphanumeric buttons, include any pauses or additional numbers
that are necessary for the call, such as an area code, an access code for numbers that are
outside of a PBX system (usually a 9), or a long-distance prefix.
2. Load the document onto the flatbed scanner face down.
select YES when Send from glass? 1=Yes 2=No
appears, and then press menu/enter..
If this fixes your problem please rate this as fixed. If it didn't,please don't rate and add a comment and I'll be glad to help you further. Thanks.

SOURCE: Printer Mispick is displayed on my HP LaserJet

It just means the paper wasn't fed and you should use a damp cloth and clean the paper feed roller, any other cleaner dries out the rubber on the roller.

Hello,

Your issue is caused by dust in the scanner optics. Here is a link to a web page with instructions on cleaning the optics and clearing the error.

My hp Laserjet 3330 Had error 79

Firmware error. Unplug the power cord. Wait 30 seconds. Plug it in, power it on. If the error comes back, you will have to upgrade the firmware.

suspect either worn ADF(automatic document feeder) pickup roller or there is a jam in the ADF unit where the paper feeds to the scanner.

HP laserjet 3330 keeps flashing scanner error power off. I unplug and start again. It will print and then goes back to this same thing.

Hi,
Remove and replace the power cord from the unit.

Wait approximately for 35 seconds for the scanning assembly to "walk out"(move to ready position)and then quickly remove the plug again.

Repeat step 1 and 2,three or four times until the head (scanner lamps)moves approximately 1 inch away from its normal resting place.

Replace the plug and let the product fully finish the boot cycle.
If it does not resolve the issue or the issue returns, upgrade the product firmware may help.Visit this url http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=72628&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=66359&taskId=135
and then upgrade the firmware.

The scanner is either worn out or just dirty. If you can remove the top glass you can gently wipe the mirrors and lenses with a Q-tip and clean the white strip on the underside of the glass. If that doesn't help the lamp is just worn out not putting out enough light. Parts are not available for that so it could be time for a new machine.

Bulb never lights up,

Hi The option you have is to check and make sure the connection between the formatter and scanner formatter are properly seated. The 79 error you are getting means you should try and do a firmware upgrade it could be giving you a problem and more than likely fix the issue.
