I have a "Sony Vaio VGN-N230E"
I Dual booted it with Windows XP & Windows Vista.
They both Work fine. But I wanna install the drivers but they don't seem to work =(
I downloaded the Audio Driver which is
"Realtek® High Definition Audio Device Driver for Microsoft® Windows® XP Operating System"
But I don't get audio, I restarted my computer many times.
And still no audio, Is their any other Drivers out there to make the audio work.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I'm confused. A Codec is used in an audio player like Media Player 11. If your computer has no sound when it comes on then you need a driver. I looked up your model and found a Realtek driver speciafically for your machine. You can download this at: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNS460. If you need an Audio CODEC for your media player I would suggest downloading PowerDVD from download.com to insure that your system sound is working correctly then you can use the Microsoft CODEC installation package to determine the real missing CODEC.

Go to download the drivers that you require from the Sony WEB site, to their support/download page. Make sure you input your model laptop and select the Windows OS that matches your installed operating system.

Download " Driver Genius pro" from the link below
Just install the software and let it update your drivers, and don't worry about anything just let it download the updates and let it install.

SOURCE: Device can not start code 10
error code 10- either the device is not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed (could also be manufacturer specific error code) right click on the item in the device manager, select properties, drivers and either roll back driver or update driver as, unless you have removed the connector and not reconnected properly, I assume the device is still there.
