Model #CEDX563JQ0 Crosley Dryer won't heat and getting current

Have checked with multimeter the elec current to the pigtail and it is good, the heating element is fine, just replaced a couple months ago. The sensors on the back, like the internal bias operating thermostat, the non-resettable thermostat, and the high limit thermostat. I still need to check the thermal cut off fuse.Don't know what else to check, or what else could be wrong.

I would check to be sure you have 220v going to Dryer. Possibly timer problem as heat circuit runs through that too.

SOURCE: Dryer won't heat?

Make sure your electrical connections are correct.
Check the voltage to the dryer element and make sure you are getting 220 volts.
Otherwise I am at a loss also...good luck
I hope this helps

SOURCE: Amana dryer not heating, replaced Thermal Cut off, High limit thermostat and Thermal Fuse, and new breakers in fuse panel

Hello, Before you replaced all those parts did you check each with a multimeter by performing an ohms test or measuring for continuity? By doing this it would tell if any of the parts that you had replaced were at fault. You can also conduct the same test on the heater as well. when performing any ohms or continuity test make sure the unit is unplugged and that you also unplug the part as well from the wires that are connected to it. I await your reply if you have any other questions. Thank you
Rick

Whirlpool Imperial gas dryer won't heat up.

There are two thermal cutoffs. If you pop open the top of the dryer and find the heating element the bigger one is mounted directly on top of it and the other one is located below it. Those are the thing to check first. You can test with a multimeter set to test continuity. If those are bad that means that the exhaust vent is getting clogged. Those run about 34 bucks for the set. The other piece to check is the element itself. You can test that the same way. Those run between 50 and 70 bucks. Good luck.

I have a model # CDE20P8A crosley clothes dryer that will not start. It has power to the dryer, but the interior light or motor will not work. Is there an internal fuse that I should check or replace?

Yes. It takes an LA-1053 fuse kit. Most of these dryers take way too long to dry the clothes, then the fuse blows because it over heats. The problem being the blower wheel. The fuse itself is attached to the side of the heater and is held there by a clip that is held in place by the long screw that hold the element. Unplug it and take it outside so you can sit it on a table to work on it.

To get inside release the clips

It won't do any good to replace the fuse if ya don't check the blower wheel.
They strip out and get loose on the motor shaft.

I have a Crosley dryer and it wont get hot what should i do

If the dryer is not heating, first check the thermal fuse. It is about an inch long and is usually located just inside the rear of the dryer attached to the exhaust duct. Test it for continuity using a multimeter or ohmmeter. A lack of continuity indicates a blown fuse. The heating element can be tested in the same manner. Hope this helped and best wishes.

You have to use a multimeter to test the heating element for continuity and if that is good, you have to test the other sensors. A wiring schematic is included with your unit, someplace on or in the unit.
