Greetings. I have an ST-02 SCSI adapter and a Sony CDU 541-01 SCSI
CD-ROM drive. However, Linux 0.99.13p doesn't seem to recognize the
CD-ROM drive, which is the only SCSI device in my 486 DX-33 system.
At boot time the message looks like:
scsi0 : Seagate ST-01/ST-02
scsi : 1 hosts.
scsi : detected 0 CD-ROM drives total.
If I replace the ST-02 with an Adaptec 1540B then the problem disappears.
Any ideas?

I have a 486-33/Sony CDU-541/Future Domain TMC-850. I was having
'phase-of-moon'
problems with Linux recognizing the CD until I started booting Linux with
turbo
mode OFF. Haven't had a problem since.
