No deleting any games wont change the fan or changing the harddrive, the system has burnt out,had a long argument with sony with the causes for this breakdown. they cant catch the signal thats causing ur system to crash, with each ps3 thats returned to sony they think they can get a closer annswer 2 the problem, truthfully they need their damn i.t.s experts 2 literally service the network, they does it every other week every month they should take the necessary precautions and fix the problem instead of coming with these lame *** excuses. sony knows exactly whats going on,they're feeding these technicians these lame *** excuses to give us,excuse they're reading from paper like they really diagnosing the problem. they have a log 2 read to u no matter whats the problem but ur system crashed. instead of them owning up to it(knowing they're liable)they make it seems like u done something 2 the system r it mysteriously happened....come on man, over 3,000 ppl with the same issues, united states, across seas,every1 is suffering 4rm it n the know what the problem is....they trying 2 prolong it until its corrected. until then they're leaving every1 clueless. im a tech n i told their techs a thing or 2 how i saw thru their calls when i called in....lame man..................soo lame....hopes this helps u....argue them 2 the point where u know whats going on ur get ur results....(without paying)

PS3 fan keeps making noise

If it's an older system, break that thing open and clean it! ^^ If it a newer system, or you just don't feel like stripping it to clean it, then use an air compressor to blow the crud built up in the back of the system. Make sure the compressor hose is dry, as you don't want water to get inside your system. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

I have a Playstation 3. Starting tonight, everytime I put in NBA 2K11 the game will load to the main screen and ask me to press start. Everytime I press start me game freezes and I have to restart my...

Yes it will delete all your saved data.

You want to keep the data, so you need an external storage device (memory card, flash drive and so on). Copy the data on the device. If anything happens to the PS3, you still have your data on the device. When you restore the PS3, you can put back the data.

Keep us posted.

When i try and play call of duty modern warfare 2 it says " registration of the game trophy information could not be completed. the game will quit." (8002291A)

This could be a problem regarding your game data/save data. You could try deleting the game data and save data of CoD: MW2 on your system. Go to Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility and delete everything pertaining to Cod: MW2 including any corrupt data. Once that is over, try running the game again.
You should also make sure that your game is updated. If you start up the game and the game is asking for an update, then you should update your game and try running it again.
If you game is not updated, try updating it before doing the game data/save data. If it works, you no longer need to delete the save/game data.

My ps3's data got corrupted and it said i could restore it.i did, but now my online friends list is gone and so is my other data!please help me!

Unfortunately, if you did a full system restore without backing up your data, it's gone. Sorry, man. However, if you sign into your PSN account, you'll still have your trophies. I know it's not much. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Do a system Restore.

SAFE MODE

1) Place you finger on the on/off sensor keep it their until your console turn off. Remove your finger.

2) Place you finger back on the on/off sensor keep it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3) Choose the last option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A system restore will delete all saved game data. It is recommend backing up your console if possible.

Good evening when I start my ps3 with no disc in it it freezes on the begining screen cannot move to ps3 system update or anything to figure out what the issue is I have an original ps3 120gb it stated I...

Sorry, i dont have a solution for the freezing, but, as for freeing up some space; If you have alot off music of videos on there delete them and run them off of a portable USB device (USB key works, but so does and iPod). Do the same with music. Another solution is to delete some of your saved game files. Under the games section on the XMB, there is something called game data or similar to that. Delete some of the files from games you don't play anymore. Also delete game demos you have finished with. These will be located in the very bottom folder under Games. Freeing up some hardrive space may also help with your freezing problem.

Hope this helps,
- Matt

Note - To delete, press triangle and select delete.
