Greetings, you should be able to use rca cables for simple connectivity. hook the x box up to the tv as you would normally on the back or side of the tv there should be audio inputs and audio outputs. xbox signal goes to input and rca cables from output on tv to aux or tv input on your reciever. then make sure that whatever audio input jacks you connected your tv to your reciever with are the same as the function or mode input on the front of the reciever. if you need more assistance look your reciever up on the manufacture's website and diagrams should be available in the search portion of the website
hope this helps

How do I hook up a 360 the magnavox. T.v

Your picture is small, but it looks like you've got available HDMI jacks on it. if so, connect and HDMI cable between the Xbox360 and you're done! High Def video and audio will be sent to the TV when you select the input that matches the one you've connected the Xbox360 to. More details linked below:

Xbox elite connected to TV thru HDMI works fine, but connected via bcs-fs500 receiver = no audio or video Cable tv through receiver works fine Have tried cable tv through receiver inputs HDMI 1 and 2...

Hook your Xbox to tv via HDMI, then hook TV to reciever through digital optical or composite cables. If you try to get your picture through receiver first, you may get picture and sound but, sound may be delayed and picture might not be the best. Bettter to run through tv first then provide sound to receiver.

When cable hooked up picture ok a little blur but when dvd or ebox hooked up picture is great. what can be done

It's probably because your standard cable has lower resolution than your DVD player or Xbox console. If you're going through a cable box and can eliminate that (depends on your TV and cable system) that might help, otherwise you would have to upgrade to hi def cable to have comparable resolution... hope this helps.

Can i hook up my xbox 360 to my aquos tv with just the red, yellow, and white cable? Right now I am not getting a color pic

Yes you can but it won't be Hi def. It sounds like you're trying to connect the cables to the Hi def input (Red, blue, green, white and red for the audio) That's not the right place to connect to.

XBox 360 to Reciever to TV via HDMI no sound

I recently got the same receiver and had the same problem. Here's what I was told - and it worked for me:

Even though HDMI cables carry audio and video, for whatever reason this reciever won't accept audio through hdmi. Apparently only much more expensive recievers carry audio through hdmi. What you have to do is run optical audio cables from your xbox, cable box, dvd player or other video device to the optical inputs on the back of the reciver. Then you customize the scene buttons to match your video and audio inputs.

You can get these optical cables pretty cheap on line or even at target. Don't get ripped off by Best Buy for these cables. I love best buy, but they rip off on cables!

This receiver is great - once I got it all figured out and running right I've loved it! Hope everything works out for you!

Is HD gaming possible?

you need to be more specific. what kind of connection are you using? RGB, or hdmi? if it's rgb there is a switch at the base of the plug that connects to your xbox, it switches from reg tv to hi def. Also depends on what game you are playing not all are hi def
