I have a kelvinator refrigerator, top-mount type model # SKNT 16E.
220V, 1-phase, Defrost amps 1.9, Watts 575,
Gross/Liters 453/396
I have replaced new door gasket.
Freezer gasket is in very condition.
Compressor drawing 3.15amps.

  1. Question is Compressor is working 8 minutes and remains off for 3 minutes. This cycle is happening from some days.Thermostat and timers seem to be ok. Do i need to change Overload cut-out at the compressor or not....please suggest.

Why is gas leaking from my kelvinator fridge

probably a hole in the evaporator
But I have to ask what is it you are seeing as the gas is not visible to the eye
is it a mist that you see on opening the door or has the compressor stopped working

HOW DO i TELL WHAT IS WRONG WITH A FRIDGE?

with a fridge of that age I would think that the compressor motor has died. It may be a capacitor if it is outside the compressor housing or an overload switch that can be reset but you will need a fridge mechanic to diagnose the fault properly. Be prepare for the bad news

I have kelvinator fridge it doesn't cool in both compartment we replaced the compressor il coold down for only 3dayes then returned back to hot state

is the condenser fan running back there?also did you clean out the condenser coil?usually when the middle strip gets hot the coil is filled with dust or the fan where the compressor is isn't running.the condenser fan keeps the compressor cool and all the heat from the machine escapes out through the condenser coil.check this, also the start device could be bad on the compressor, send model number next time you write so whoever helps you can look up your machine.hope this info helps you out.

Hi My Kelvinator Beverage Cooler fridge has packed up due to power surge. If possible please could you email me a quotation as i need to purchase another one. Description: 1 door which is glass and its...

Hi.

The price depends on the model and on the internal volume. Here a UK seller: Commercial Beverage Coolers & Commercial Bottle Coolers. Here a SA distributor of beverage coolers. The choice includes Kelvinator.

About the fault. If the problem happened after a power surge it is often possible to repair the cooler replacing the starter relay mounted on top of the compressor. The part is not expensive. Call the Kelvinator number listed on the owner manual to know more about the possible repair or to purchase the part.

Regards.
