Front loader doesn't completely drain sometimes. It will already have water in it when I go to load it sometimes.

  • klepdo Feb 19, 2009

I have the same problem. I just noticed that my front loader was full of water. I havent done a load of clothes in a few days. I just put it on the spin and drain setting and drained the watter that way. Could I have a bad or broken seal where the water comes in to the washer. Could it be leaking water in? I don't think its a drain problem because it drains most of the time.

Your not telling me alot about the problem?you would need to tell me more .so im going to hazard a solution: 1, there might be a lost sock blocking your out pipe/or simler. 2,we have all heard about hard water causing limescale so im going to suggest another answer:take a simple dishwasher tablet and run it through your machine x2 with some old cleaning cloths/or simler cloths, you will find this will stop your problemhope this helps please let us know.adrian

Frigidaire heavy duty super capacity 2 speed combonation sometimes goes through cycle fine but mostly continuously fills and drains at start S.N. XE32103237 - FEZ831CAS2

All front loading washers will fill and drain multiple times before it finishes. Unlike a top loader, a front loading washer will take longer to run because there is no agitator and will fill with water and drain multiple times. A front loader is more energy efficient than a Traditional top loading washing machine. A washer dryer combo will take hours to complete a cycle.

I have water in my front loader when empty

Water is siphoning back in! Make sure there is a siphon break or vent at the end of your drain hose to stop this problem for sure.

Tub has water in it

sounds like either the discharge line is clogged or the pump is not working, it could be working but getting ready to stop working and doesn't have the power to completly drain the tub, take the hose off the back if the water comes out the hose is clear and it is the pump, if it doesn;t come out then it is clogged

2003 Whirlpool Duet Washer clear water pooling in drum after use.

When the machine is off, there are only two ways water could possibly enter. 1 Check the drain hose install, that it is not installed deep in the standpipe, if the hose is shoved too deep, it can sometimes siphon (rare with front loaders) water back into the machine.
2. Most likely cause, a slow leak from the water valve. Sometimes the water solenoid will not close completely, and you will get a very, very slow leak into the machine.
If not the drain hose, try shutting off the water supply valves when done using the machine, if that takes care of it, you may want to replace the machine's inlet valve.

Our front loader washer is stuck in "drain mode". It sounds like it is trying to drain and some water comes out. The door and all controls are locked. Already tried the usual fix.

water left in machine tub? if so the pressure sw is probably telling the board keep draining. in this case open front cover and drain pump through cleanout access and clean tray-possible clog.

Front loading Maytag Neptune doesnt drain all water

the washer has a low level of water in it at all times. it will never completely drain out unless you pump it. this is one of the reasons there is such a smell with these washers, i use vinegar in rinse cycle and i use bleach once sometimes twice a month to keep mold and mildew smell away.

Washer won't drain or spin

top loader ??? or front loader??? if top loader you have broken your lid switch, will fill, agitate, but when it comes to drain/spin for safety reasons if the unit doent recognize the lid closed it will not advance...if yo have a front loader then i would suspect that something has gotten into the pump assy and preventing drainiing of water therefore will not spin

LG FRont Load Washer Dryer WD-1256RD filling up with lint

If you have not done it already, replace the lint filter. Follow instructions on manual. The lint filter access should be on front side of machine.

Other users had same problem on this model, I quote:
"I've only had it 2 weeks so far. It seems to be collecting lint/fluff all around the rubber door lining"
Source here.

Sometimes there may be too much lint if you use excessive softener and detergent.
