Carnt access bios so i can update to xp

    Please explain more. Do you receive an error?

    Try this.

    Put the windows xp cd in the cd drive restart and when it loads up you should be able to update it.

You must boot from the xp disc as it boots up just keep pressing F8 this normally will bring up boot order for you to choose cd to boot from

How to install Windows XP onto a newly formatted laptop


put winxp cd in tray
at boot up press F12 - right-arroweto CD icon --> Enter
winxp should go into install
you'll probably need a version of winxp that can recognize Sata hdd. or hae sata drivers handy.

Need to change your boot sequence so that the computer bios will run the cd at start up When your computer starts you will see it says something like press F12 for setup or press ESC. it veries by computer.

Toshiba bios not starting


download partition manager it`s free
http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm
and you can format,create ,resize etc your partitions...
BACKUP ALL DATA BEFORE MESSING WITH PARTITIONS!!!
update bios first just make sure it`s right model number(read instructions)

Screen Hangs after update


I would probably format the hardrive... using another system... Re-install software but, the only thing is tha you will lose all that files tha you have not backed up!!

im sorry to say this laptop is just not fast enuf to run windows XP you best bet for this would be to run windows 98 or a distro of linux that fits your needs  there are no bios updates at this time that will allow you to install XP on this system. sorry

not sure on model what f2 or f12 is
f2 enter bios
f12 choice menu
options:-
re-install xp
repair xp
flash bios

Best Solution is to disable Native SATA support in BIOS ,
Now Win XP will recognize the Hard Disk
